2021 is Min y Don’s 60th Anniversary!

It is not the easiest year to plan celebrations, but we want to make sure that we can give thanks to God for His faithfulness and recognise His provision and goodness over all the years.

We have decided to set ourselves a challenge, to mark the 60th, raise some money and to help celebrate.

Susie’s parents, Tony and Betty Boot set off on a great adventure 60 years ago, and through the ups and downs of life committed to serving God here. In tough times they did not give up and through their vision and ministry many have come to know Jesus in this place, and many have grown deeper in their faith.

In memory of Betty, and to honour Tony: Susie and Beth are going to run 60 kilometre’s in a week, six 10k’s in 7 days. Pete is going to row (rowing machine) and bike ride (on a static bike) the same distance.

Our target is to raise £6000. Our hope is that money raised will be able to be put towards a specific project at Min-Y-Don, something to mark the 60th year, but you can be sure that any money raised will help as we look to the future and continuing the ministry of the Centre.

An organisation we have worked with over many years is Care for the Family, hosting single parent holidays and weekend adventures for parents and children. We have seen first-hand the great work they do to support and encourage families, something which has always been very close to our heart. We would like to give some of the money raised to Care for the Family to help them in their continued work, especially at this crucial time.

It would be great if you could support this fundraising effort and we will keep you informed of our progress as we train and then as we undertake the challenge. More details and dates will be coming out soon.
